Isen

   River flowing from the Misty Mountains through Nan Curunír (the Wizard's Vale) and across the Gap of Rohan; translation (to represent the language of Rohan) of Sindarin Angren.

   The 'iron river' that flowed past the gates of Isengard.
   The river that rose in the southern foothills of the Misty Mountains, and ran westward for some three hundred miles to reach the Great Sea in the southern regions of the Enedwaith.
